Chill Exhibition: Through Feb. 6, Tuesdays through Saturdays only, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Kids might enjoy this unique show, which features fun paintings, including some of luminous melting icebergs and wacky little dogs. Everything About a Day: Through Feb. 6. Kids in grades 3-to-7 present this fast-paced musical revue about the joy and angst of a typical day in the life of a kid, including exam jitters, social pointers, sibling rivalry and monsters in the closet! $13 adults, $11 kids ages 5-17. Frontera Fest: Through Feb. 13. Cutting-edge theatre immersion featuring more than 100 performances over five weeks. Mainly for adults, but some performances may be suitable for older kids. Los Adaes – 18th-Century Spanish Capital of Texas: This online exhibit is a fun way to spend the afternoon learning about Texas history. The site also features archeology, history, art and science activities for kids in grades K-12. www.texasbeyondhistory.net/adaes/

Peer Gynt: Feb. 11-21. The performing arts department at St. Edward’s University presents this play by Henrik Ibsen (translated by Robert Bly). Suitable for teens and parents. Mary Moody Northen Theatre at St. Edward’s University, 3001 S Congress Ave. 448-8484

Paolo Veronese: The Petrobelli Altarpiece
Reconstructing a Renaissance Masterpiece: Through Feb. 7. All four fragments of Venetian master Paolo Veronese are reunited in this special exhibit. $7 adults, $3 ages 13-17, free for kids 12 and younger. The Blanton Museum of Art, 200 E. Martin Luther King Blvd. 471-7324

Texas: The Big Picture: Give the kids an overview of what our big state looks like. The Tinkerer’s Workshop: This new permanent exhibit is designed to inspire children to investigate engineering concepts, tinker and build things, observe materials and tell someone about it. $3.50-$5.50, kids under 12 months free. Voices from San Jacinto: Through Feb. 21, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. This exhibit features Mexican and Texan accounts of the last battle of the Texas Revolution. The display includes dramatic readings, artifacts and historical documents, plus an interactive kiosk that explores the details of Henry McArdle's painting “Battle of San Jacinto”.
