Have you ever wanted to know how the Austin Independent School District works — from the inside?
If so, now’s your chance: AISD is accepting applications for its 2010-2011 AISD UpClose program.
The program offers parents a unique opportunity to learn about the district’s infrastructure, programs, and services. Each month through the school year, AISD UpClose participants meet at various district sites to get an inside look at key programs, services, and areas. The purpose is to develop community leaders who understand the district’s challenges and opportunities, and who will volunteer to assist the district in various ways. So far, 125 people have participated in the program.
