If you’d like to transfer your child to another school within the Austin Independent School District, you have until August 10 to make the change.
Your can obtain a transfer request at the Office of Student Services (1111 West Sixth St.); you may also obtain a high school transfer request form at any AISD high school. Request forms are due to the Office of Students Services no later than 4:45 p.m. on August 10.
Bear in mind that transfer requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and that several schools and/or grades are closed to transfers. The closed schools are:
High School - Akins, Anderson, Austin, Bowie, and McCallum.
Middle School - Kealing, Murchison, and O. Henry.
Elementary School - Baranoff, Barrington, Blazier, Bryker Woods (except 4th grade), Casis, Cook, Doss, Harris, Hart, Highland Park, Jordan, Kiker, Langford, Lee, Linder, McBee, Mills, Oak Hill, Overton, Perez, Rodriguez and Wooldridge.
