If you’re looking for a gift for a budding scientist, this book is sure to garner attention! Packaged in what appears to be a potato chip bag, the book is accompanied by the components to create a spud-powered sound chip, a clock that runs on potato power, and a few other simple science projects. The book offers a total of 29 experiments that explore physics, biology, chemistry, and earth science. Projects encourage recycling chip bags and tubes. Each experiment is described in detail, with an illustrated materials list, step-by-step instructions, and an explanation of the science behind the fun. A glossary defines some of the scientific terminology. The small pieces in the bag make this a book for children ages 8 and older, but they will find the experiments and projects filled with fun. It's a bit gimmicky but I'll bet you can't do just one experiment!
