If this toy doesn’t make your kids eager to get off the couch and go outside, we don’t know what will. Djubi includes a ball with a rubber band on it and two “racquets” that are basically huge nets with a notch on top. You attach the ball’s rubber band to the notch and pull it back, sling-shot style, and —PFOOH!— off the ball goes!
The other player then has to catch the ball in his racquet/net. Surprisingly, catching is fairly easy, given the size of the nets. We spent hours running around outside playing this game. The only downside, really, is that the game requires a massive backyard or the wide-open space of a local park: once you fling that ball, it really flies and yeah, you have to r-u-n to catch it. The kit comes with two racquets and two balls; you can buy reasonably priced replacement balls online. All in all, a good value in fun!
We’re required to tell you that all Cool or Crummy items are sent to us by companies and PR agents; we do not purchase these items independently, they just show up on our doorstep. All items are tested by our Product Review Team, otherwise known as the Tester Mamas, who have children in the age ranges recommend by the items in question. As you can see, we’re brutally honest in our reviews so it should go without saying that we do not accept payment for product placement (but we have to say it anyway because this is, after all, a required legal notice).
